A Busy Homemaker

I guess I've been feeling slightly ambitious lately, and so I've been trying quite a few new things that I haven't done before. I feel like I've fallen behind on the normal stuff, but I've been having fun. I've been trying new things with Avri's hair, trying to branch out from my two hairstyles. I made homemade salsa, applesauce, and apple crisp all for the first time. We actually created our own salsa recipe with some help from Janie and the internet, and it was delicious!! The picture doesn't make the food look that good, but it sure tasted good.
I've been trying my hand at costume making. I'm trying to make matching poodle skirts for the girls and I. We are having a ward Sock Hop in January that I want to have skirts for, so I decided to make them. They are turning out a little easier than I thought (imagine that) except for the issue of when to work on them. Nap time goes WAY TOO FAST!! These are obviously not done, but in the process. I'm not planning on having them finished until January, but I'm shooting to have them finished soon. We'll just see. :)
And I have learned to make hair bows. I'm still way new to it and really practicing, but here are some of my newest creations on Sadi and Avri.
These are both on alligator clips so that they are interchangeable and everything and Avri is way excited about new accessories. She is such a girl!! But I guess so am I since I'm the one who wanted to learn. A couple of ladies in my ward here taught me a few things, but I still have lots to learn. All this has been in the last week (hence the absence from blogging). But I'm going to have to slow down a little since the bathrooms need to be cleaned and Avri wants to learn how to read. So, those will be my new projects. I think that bathrooms may be harder than the reading.

You busy bee!! I am proud of all your projects - you rock. And you give me hope that I can still do fun stuff when I have more than one child. Except I guess I won't be making cute bows anytime soon (sniff, wipe a tear, sniff). I'll have to make towers and huts and big hills instead which is pretty fun too.

Way to go Melissa! That is so awesome! You seriously are my hero! I wish I could get half as much done as you do! I truly look up to you for it! Way to be and congrats on your alone time with Kendall. Kendall would be the only one I know that could finish all that food!

We obviously won't be coming out for Dannys Spring Break, money is tight. We'll let you know when we get some wiggle room and we'll plan something!
