Out of the mouths of Babes

Since the start of preschool Avri has officially given up naps. (I know, she's a little old, but obviously still needs the sleep.) This morning she sauntered out of bed around 8:15 and came in the kitchen and said "I'm still tired, Mom. I woke up and now I'm grumpy." I very nicely told her to go back to bed until she wasn't tired or grumpy anymore, and she actually complied. Wouldn't it be nice to just go back to bed if you still felt tired? Mom's sure don't get that luxury!Talmage has learned the art of talking non-stop. He narrates his entire life and those around him. Because of this I've learned how to relatively tune him out and only hear the really important things. Yesterday in the car we heard from the back seat "I threw up in my mouth, and then I ate it." I guess he's discovered acid reflux.

In other news, Kendall and I have been married for 2,309 days. Avri asked Kendall the other day how long he had been married to me. He answered 6 years. She then replied, "No, Dad, how many DAYS?" So we figured it out and here is the answer.

When you have kids as cute as yours even a mediocre camera takes a great picture.

I love both those stories! I agree too! I want to go back to bed whenever I'm grumpy!
