Before shot of our front yard.
Day 1 of grass seed.
By day 7 we had baby grass fuzz.
This is our front yard today. It's been just over 3 weeks and it's looking pretty good. We just put down a bit more seed this weekend in the thinner spots and had to redo part of the west side where our neighbor's tree came down.
Before shot of the east side yard.
This side is struggling a little since the neighbor's dandelions are trying to take over, but still an improvement.
Before shot of west side yard (including Kendall's drainage pipe that he put in). And those sticks are actually some of the smaller roots that we pulled out of the ground. Only a small portion of the 6 truckloads of roots that we took out! This was a little project of mine to try to figure out how to landscape by the stairs. There used to be a little drainage trench that ran alongside the sidewalk. We are going to do the same thing on the other side of the sidewalk as soon as we get rid of all the rocks!

It looks great! And can I just say...I am in LOVE with the trees! The colors are SO beautiful!!
Wow! I am IMPRESSED!!! Way to go guys!
You have been working so hard! I am feeling inspired to get my yard in order. I have been a big slacker, maybe because I am really pregnant. I think it is great that you are making your little part of the world so much more beautiful.
I AM INSPIRED!!!! Looking at our weed patch in the back and all the rocks in the front has been so daunting. But seeing befores and afters makes me want to dive in!! Thank you! Soon I hope to have before and after pictures myself. :)
The yard looks great! All your hard work sure paid off.
You guys are amazing!! Almost four years later and I still have a weed patch. Of course, my husband is still working CRAZY hours. We have the opposite problem of you guys ... the money is waiting but lacking in time. I don't know which is worse. I really don't want to pay somebody to take care of my yard but I REALLY want grass!!
I am totally impressed. Maybe you and Kendall should go into this for business!
That looks like a lot of hard work. Looks good, I can see how after a day of kids splitting wood would sound like fun!
Nice job! Looks awesome! I bet your "honey-do" list for Kendall is really short now. Paul's, however, is super long... and something is wrong here cuz he doesn't have the time OR the money. Hmmm. :)
I love the before and after pictures. Your yard is looking good.
