Now Looking

This week has been rough. I've had some family issues going on that kind of turned my life upside down. That started on Tuesday. Then on Wednesday eServ laid off almost everyone in the office. So Kendall is now looking for a new job as we are unemployed. We will be okay for a while. Kendall got severance pay for roughly the next 3 months. We will be able to go on unemployment, but it is only like 1/3 of what we make, so it definately isn't enough to get us through, so the search is on. There is still a good chance that IF the economy picks up and eServ starts getting more contracts they could hire Kendall back, but I'm not too hopeful for that.

I've been very proud of Kendall through it all. He's been very optimistic and has turned all of his energy into putting in a new yard, which I'm very happy about. He has been tilling up a huge garden, and tearing out the entire yard. I had no idea how tired it would make me, trying to keep up with the kids AND the yardwork! But the yardwork has been the thing that has really made me feel like a homeowner instead of a renter. Having something to change and make my own feels wonderful! And while we won't be able to do everything we want because we don't have money, it is very rewarding. I'll post pictures later, but for now I need all my time to get it done before the rains come next week! We hope that you are all well. We know that these are hard times for all. We will keep you all in our prayers and hope you will do the same for us.

oh Melissa. I'm so sorry. You can always come live with us. he, he. But really if you need anything let me know. Just because you are my visiting teacher doesn't mean that I can't help you. Best of luck.

That stinks. I am really sorry to hear that. I will definately keep you guys in our prayers. I have found there is nothing like yardwork to take out my stress. Good job with your yard.

Bless your hearts. It is such a hard thing to see so many people in need of work. It really makes me appreciate the good times I have. My brother in law has been out of real work for several months. He has been loving spending time with his family and doing odd jobs. I can see Kendall having the same attitude. We will pray for miracles to come your way. Much love. If we can help in anyway, please let us know. Seriously.

You are absolutely in our prayers!! It's scary out there. We'll always take you back here in the west, if this is where the job search takes you.A garden will help out in so many ways. So glad you'll have one soon! Things will work out for you guys I know it! Keep your chins up!

We know how stressful job hunting can be and we will keep you in our prayers! for us it was a blessing in disguise, leading to better things we wouldn't have discovered if the status quo hadn't changed - hopefully that will be the case for you too. You probably aren't looking to move but we would love to see you in Texas if you do! haha. I'm sure there are many more people who would pray you to Utah though. :) Hopefully whatever is right for you will work out and you will know what that is.
