Its A Girl!!!

We have a brand new baby GIRL! She was born at 2:34 pm. She was 7 lbs 15 oz and 20 inches long. She nurses like a pro. She has brown hair and big beautiful eyes and long eye lashes. She has the cutest big lips. She is Beautiful!

We decided to name her Mercedes

If its a boy his name is Noah

They broke her water at 1:25 pm and a dove flew out with an olive branch in its beak (she flooded the bed). Now the contractions are coming hard and fast. It shouldn't be long now.

We are having the baby TODAY!

We got to the hospital at 10:00 am this morning. Melissa was at a 3+ or -4 and about 80% effaced. They got her hooked up on the petocin and she is contracting like a champion. She is responding well and the baby is doing great. The picture will not upload for some reason.

New baby update

Okay, so Kendall looked at the blog and said "There aren't any pictures of you." So I had him take a picture of me. Here is me, 9 months pregnant and just waiting for our little bundle of joy to arrive.
Notice that I didn't say patiently waiting, since we are past the patient phase and into the "I'm a tired mom who just wants the baby out" phase. I've gone into labor twice, only to have my contractions stop. I'm dialated to somewhere around 4 cm and the doctor says any day. But if I don't go into labor on my own then the doctor will induce me sometime next week, like Tuesday or Wednesday. So I at least know that I only have another week at most!! I'm in the home stretch.

This is Talmage's newest trick. He enjoys undressing himself, especially while he is trying to fall asleep. I also just can't resist a sleeping child; no matter how much trouble they make when they are awake they just look so innocent when they are sleeping.

This was Avri bowling. She was quite the little bowler and had some real good moves. We went bowling the week after Christmas and Avri actually ended up bowling a better score than her mom on the sacond game. Needless to say she thinks it is very cool and very fun, and we were glad that she had such a good time.

A Trial Effort

Kendall and I decided that it would be great to start this blog so that people can see pictures of the fam and especially of our new arrival that is on its way. It seems easier to post pictures on a blog than to email them to everyone. So this is totally new to me and I'm sure it won't be great, but I wanted to get it going before the baby is born. Since I was in labor this morning for about 4 hours, I may not have too long. So here is to a valiant effort at technology.
